Proteus Ocean Group Leadership Convene to Discuss Progress and Future Plans for PROTEUS™, the First International Space Station of the Ocean

WILLEMSTAD (August 15, 2024)—On August 22, 2024, Curaçao Investment & Export Promotion Agency (CINEX) will host an event for Proteus Ocean Group in collaboration with the U.S. Consulate General in Curaçao . Proteus Ocean Group is developing an underwater laboratory and ocean research and development ecosystem that will change the way science, research and exploration are done in the future. The first PROTEUS™ underwater habitat will be located off the coast of Curaçao. 

The leadership team of Proteus Ocean Group, including Founder and Aquanaut Fabien Cousteau, CEO Lisa Marrocchino, Director of Space Services Astronaut Scott Parazynski and Chief Science Officer Brian Helmuth will present on the progress the project has recently achieved, including mesh sensor network data of the Curaçao coast and the opportunities for the commercial space industry to utilize PROTEUS™, placing Curaçao at the forefront of this new endeavor.
